Five ways you can learn more about JELCC: 

Tours:  Call JELCC to schedule a tour. Tours can be organized to explore one specific area of interest or to learn more several different programs.

Class Shadow:  If you have a specific class you would like to learn more about and if you have time during your school day to visit JELCC, you can join a class for one class period and experience a day in the life of a JELCC student. 

Social Media:  Check out JELCC on social media. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

High School Counselors: Contact your high school counselor to obtain JELCC applications and course descriptions. Also, ask your counselor about dual credit and certification opportunities. 

JELCC College & Career Pathways Coordinator:  Contact JELCC's Pathways Coordinator if you have questions or would like to set up a tour or shadow opportunity.

This week, Western Boone students visited JELCC.

Students observed several classes, including:  

Cosmetology, Auto Collision & Repair, Web Design, and more.

Western Boone students asked great questions! 

They expressed interest in learning more about dual credits and certifications offered at JELCC. Thank you Western Boone HS students for showing great interest and enthusiasm for JELCC classes. 

2015-16 JELCC Applications are Available

JELCC applications are now available! 

If you would like to join a JELCC class next school year, please request an application from your high school counselor.  

Or, stop by JELCC's Student Services office, where you can pick up an application and talk to JELCC's Pathways Coordinator to learn more about JELCC classes, dual credits, and certifications. 

This week, Fishers and Hamilton South Eastern High Schools visited JELCC. 

Students learned about health career, culinary, automotive, computer, music, and cosmetology programs offered at JELCC. 

JELCC Road Show at NCHS

NCHS students showed great interest in JELCC's hands' on displays at this year's Road Show.  

 Student volunteers act as models while Mr. Wilcox demonstrated hair styling techniques. 

 Are you interested in the medical field? JELCC offers a variety of medical classes including:  Health Carer Careers, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, and Pharmacology. Contact JELCC to learn more about the certificates that each program offers. 

Veterinary Assisting instructors shared exciting news:  JELCC is developing a new veterinarian clinic that will eventually provide a variety of services, including:  immunizations, spay and neuter, and grooming. 

Students checked out customized paintings by Collision Repair students. 

JELCC's Director, Mrs. Wright-Browner, explored virtual welding. 

Auto Maintenance & Detailing teacher, Andy Rice, turned up the volume on these car speakers, providing entertainment in the NCHS hallways. 

Auto Service Technology teacher, Dana Wilcox, shared state of the art, current technology used in today's automotive industry.

 Culinary Arts students served 1600 scoops of ice cream! 

Law Enforcement students challenged students to walk a straight line while wearing impairment glasses. 

EMT students shared life-saving information.
