JELCC Classes are Open for Business

Did you know that several of our programs are open to the public?

Our public restaurant, Light Cafe opens on Wednesday, September 20. You do not want to miss out!  We are only a few weeks into the new school year, and you can already smell the aromas coming from Chef Grier and Chef Nehrt’s kitchen. Our culinary students have been busy mastering the art of cookie baking and scone making just to name a couple of  culinary delights! Throughout the school year, the Light Cafe is open on most Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year. Please visit jelcc.com to learn about restaurant hours and the weekly menu.

Lions and tigers and bears oh my!  We are ecstatic this year  to have our very own veterinary clinic. On September 6, JELCC will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of our very own veterinarian clinic. We all love meeting your furry friends, so be sure to book an appointment at JELCC's Veterinarian Clinic.

Visit our cosmetology salon, J Everett Light Academy of Beauty, and let our amazing cosmetology students give you the haircut you have been looking for. Our cosmetology students are not only crushing getting their high school diplomas, they are also a cut above the rest, as they are hard at work obtaining their cosmetology state licenses.  Visit our website www.jelcc.com for salon hours, services, and to make your appointment.

Please don’t stop the music!  Are you tired of the same old stations and looking for something new?  Turn your station to 89.3 and listen to our music and sound production students as they rock the tracks on our very own radio station.  We have the largest listened to high school radio station and the largest reach for a high school.  Students interview guests of their choice on air and also choose the music they wish to play.  With so many different schools and personalities attending our school, you can’t go wrong listening to WJEL 89.3.
